The importance of proper formatting and design of your branding website can’t be overstressed. Of the three main types of websites (squeeze page, sales page, branding site), the branding site is the one most people are familiar with or tend to think about when talking about a website. Although it’s the least critical site for generating leads (and thus, generating revenue), everyone seems to want one.

And yes, a branding can be very useful in helping to build credibility and that’s why we’ll talk today about how to correctly set up and optimize your branding websites. So what exactly should you put on your branding website and what format should you choose?

Here are some tips for you to consider for your branding website format.

Branding Site and Sales Letter

You should keep the general format and layout of your branding website similar to the format and layout of your sales letter.

This means that you should use the same header, footer, and side lines in your sales letter as you use on your branding website. Furthermore, the header, footer, and side lines also serve as a great way to enclose your text.

Having a layout that gives a clean look makes it easy on the eyes and it tends to load quickly as well.

Opt-in Box

Of course you should always have an opt-in box. This is something that just can’t be stressed enough and is something that many people seem to neglect altogether. Why is it important? Because it’s a form that enables you to build your list. It’s here that your website visitors can sign up for your subscriber list.

So where should you place your opt-in box? Optimally, you should place it on the far left hand side of your branding website.

Why? Because this is the general area where your visitor’s eyes tend to go first when they visit you branding website. Again, making your opt-in box as visible as you can increases the chances and makes it easy for your visitor to subscribe to your list.

Products and Services

Other important things you should consider are to include information about the products and services you’re offering. Regardless of your niche, presenting your products (i.e. home study courses, ebooks, memberships, etc.) or services (i.e. coaching, speaking, workshops, etc) allows your visitors to become familiar with you and what your website is about.

It’s also important that you make your visitors feel that you truly do have an interest in them and are not just in it to take their money. Thus it’s important that you provide them with at least a couple of free resources such as ebooks, audio CDs, articles, or newsletters. Just make sure that your free resources keep in the theme of your branding website and provide something of true value to your visitors.

About You

Also, remember to include an “About You” section. Establishing credibility is one of the reasons for having a branding website in the first place so make sure you include interesting things about you, your accomplishments, awards, background, education or anything else that might be relevant to your subscriber. Also include a photo so people can identify you better as a real person and this can go a long way in helping to establish trust and rapport.

Testimonials

Another thing to remember is to include testimonials and press releases on your branding website. This again can significantly build credibility and trust with your visitors and thus potential buyers of your products or services.

Contact Link

Last but not least, you should have an easy way for your branding website visitors to contact you with questions or for more information. An easy way to do this is to simply have a “Contact” link that opens to allow your visitors to send you an email. This way you’re constantly building trust and rapport.
